Applicant Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes the personal information that Halozyme, Inc. (“Halozyme”) collects about its U.S. job applicants in connection with their potential employment, as well as how Halozyme uses that personal information. What Personal Information does Halozyme collect about you and why?

For purposes of this Privacy Notice, “Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular job applicant or household. Personal Information does not include information that does not and cannot reveal an individual’s specific identity, such as information that has been de-identified or aggregated.

Halozyme may collect, store, and use the following types of Personal Information about job applicants for the purposes set out below:

  • Contact Information (such as your name, telephone number, and email address, etc.) in order to contact you to provide you with information about the status of your application or offer you a position with us.
  • Application Information (such as your resume and application form, which will likely include details of your qualifications, skills, experience and employment history; references supplied by your former employer, work permit/visa application information, etc.) in order to evaluate candidates and to exercise and perform our employment law obligations and rights as necessary.
  • Protected Classifications under the law (such as information about your ethnic origin, sexual orientation, health and religion or belief, disability status, etc.) for equal opportunity monitoring and reporting, purely on a voluntary basis.
  • Any other information you provide us in the context of job recruiting in order to administer aspects of your recruitment (or employment) or to comply with legal obligations or company policies.

We may also use the Personal Information that we collect from job applicants for legitimate business purposes, such as: managing information technology systems, including Internet and software access; understanding the job applicant pool on an aggregate basis; managing disputes; and contacting you or your household when needed.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we do so, we will make an updated copy available
